During his master’s in philosophy, Thieu’s lifelong fascination with various art forms led him to specialize in the philosophy of art and aesthetics at the University of Ghent, followed by a year at the Faculty of Aesthetics at Helsinki University. While gaining extensive theoretical knowledge, his student years were pivotal for his initial experiments in street art. Thieu explored the artistic and societal boundaries of mediums such as spray cans, paint markers, and later expanding to needles and tattoo machines.
After years of tattooing on the road, Thieu settled in a private studio on the Belgian coast. A desire for a creative reset brought him back to his initial love: the spray can.
